As you know, we LOVE colour! We have scoured the internet and come up with just a few of our favourite colour themed kitchens. Which one is your favourite? Would you choose more subtle pops of colour or go bold? Let us know.

A very Rice home

Our first home inspiration comes from 'Mrs Rice' herself! Charlotte who along with her husband Philippe created Rice in 1998 and it has been thriving ever since.

The name RICE was chosen because it is a basic survival product for many people in this world, and especially in the third world where a lot of the Rice products are made including Thailand, Madagascar and India. In fact many people working in Madagascar have a bag of rice as part of their salary package.

Charlotte's home was featured in the April 2011 edition of French 'Marie Claire Maison' and showed us some of the beautifully put together rooms of her home featuring a whole load of Rice products and amazing colours.

My favourite parts of her home are the funky fuchsia bannister in the hallway and her open cupboards in the kitchen which showcase all of the mix matched Rice prints, patterns and colours!

Dear Deer

One of our favourite items since day one are our deer heads! They are so popular and are such a quirky addition to any room in your home. Which is your favourite?

A lot has changed!

A lot has changed since we started at Shirleyz in September 2010! Our stock has grown and expanded and everytime we get a new delivery it's like Christmas! We cannot wait to open all our boxes and see all of the new funky colours and prints.

Have a look at the shop when we first opened . . . . . .

We loved it when we opened and always knew that it was destined to grow bigger and better but I don't think we expected it to grow this much in just 6 months . . . . . .!

However in the last 2 months we have expanded again and are really enjoying have a larger showroom which has allowed us to bring in new products as well as letting you enjoy our colours and to have fun even more!

As some of you may know we were using the second half of our shop as our store-room which came in very handy at moments like this when we received a big delivery . . . . . .!

But now our shop is lovely and big and we know you all love it as much as we do!

Our new beginning

Shirleyz started back in June 2010 with just a few boxes of Rice products. We started small and tested our amazing products at a few school and Summer fairs.

Our response was great with a lot of you Yummy Mummies (and Daddies of course) really loving our products!

Soon after that we got the keys to our shop! Holme Grange craft village was perfect for us with its peaceful surroundings and a beautiful shop space for our products.



We officially opened our doors in September 2010, very proud and very excited with our new adventure!
